Master Aesthetician Certification Process
How It Works

Enroll
Submit proof of a valid Florida skincare/beauty/medical license (Facial Specialist, Full Specialist, Cosmetologist, RN, etc.). Complete the digital enrollment agreement and reserve your cohort.

Train
Over seven consecutive Mondays on campus or within six months online you complete every lecture, demo, and supervised treatment required for certification. On‑campus cohorts also complete venipuncture labs for NHA phlebotomy.
3
Graduate
Receive your FAMA Master Medical Aesthetician Certificate (and NHA credentials if applicable). You exit with documented skill mastery and a marketing‑ready title.
How Do I Become a
Medical Aesthetician?
This Master Medical Aesthetician program is exclusively for licensed professionals—meaning you must already hold a Florida Facial Specialist license (or an equivalent credential such as Esthetician, Cosmetologist, Full Specialist, RN, NP, PA, or MD) before enrolling. If you’re not licensed yet, start with FAMA Skincare Program and become eligible to apply fo a Facial Specialist License, then come back to elevate into medical aesthetics with this advanced training.

Step 1 — Confirm Eligibility
Make sure your Facial Specialist, Full Specialist, Cosmetology, RN, or comparable Florida license is active. Have a digital copy ready (plus photo ID) for enrollment.
Step 2 — Enroll
Complete the online application, sign the enrollment agreement, and choose your format: seven Mondays on campus or six‑month self‑paced online access.
Step 3 — Train
Attend each module (on campus or online). Perform nano‑needling, dermaplaning, advanced peels, PRP prep and delivery, laser fundamentals, and post‑surgical skincare under direct instructor evaluation. Complete quizzes and practical checkouts to verify competency.
Step 4 — Add Phlebotomy if Desired
If you choose the on‑campus (or hybrid) option, complete the phlebotomy practicum and sit for the NHA exam to earn national phlebotomy credentials.
Step 5 — Graduate
Upon successful completion, you receive the FAMA Medical Aesthetician Certification (plus NHA Phlebotomy if applicable). You are now a certified Medical Aesthetician ready to work in med‑spas, dermatology or plastic‑surgery clinics, or your own advanced skincare studio.
Begin Without License
Step 1 — Enroll
Enroll in FAMA’s Skincare Diploma (Licensure Path) Submit proof of age (16+), high‑school diploma or evaluated foreign equivalent, and sign the enrollment agreement. No previous aesthetics experience is required.
Step 2 — Train
Finish theory and lab hours in facial treatments, skin histology, sanitation, Florida law, chemical peels, machines, and hair removal. Your attendance, grades, and competencies are tracked in FAMA’s portal.
Step 3 — Graduate
FAMA provides the forms, exam prep, and step‑by‑step assistance to submit your application to the Florida DBPR. Once approved, you receive your official Facial Specialist license number.
Step 4 — Become a Medical aesthetician
Enroll in the Master Medical Aesthetician and train in nano‑needling, dermaplaning, advanced peels, PRP protocols, consultation strategy, OSHA/HIPAA compliance, and business/legal essentials. Optional phlebotomy practicum and NHA exam are available for national credentialing.
