Licensing by Endorsement

If you are an outstate professional and need to know how to do an endorsement of your esthetician or electrolysis/LASER follow the steps below for an evaluation of your documents.

Esthetician license endorsement requirements:

AGE: Specialty registration applicants must be at least 16 years of age or have received a high school diploma.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION: All applicants attempting to endorse an out-of-state license must have completed educational hours, comparable or more stringent than those required in Florida.
Submit a copy of the Certificate of Completion from the approved specialist training program.
Florida requires completion of 220 educational hours minimum for estheticians.
HIV/AIDS and Florida Law Course.

OUT-OF-STATE LICENSES: All applicants must provide a certification of licensure from the state where the applicant holds a current and active specialist license/registration.
Certification must verify a current and active license and the number of educational hours completed.
Submitting a copy of your license will not meet this requirement and all documentation should be evaluated first. (Fee $199)

FEE: $1500 (verification fee $199 included)

Electrologist/LASER licenses endorsement requirements:

AGE: Specialty registration applicants must be at least 16 years of age or have received a high school diploma.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION: All applicants attempting to endorse an out-of-state license must have completed educational hours, comparable or more stringent than those required in Florida.
Submit a copy of the Certificate of Completion from the approved specialist training program.
Florida requires completion of 320 educational hours minimum for electrologist/laser tech.
HIV/AIDS and Florida Law Course.

OUT-OF-STATE LICENSES: All applicants must provide a certification of licensure from the state where the applicant holds a current and active specialist license/registration.

EXAMINATION: You do have to take the Florida electrolysis examination for this license.
