  • Two Certifications, Two Careers in One: Complete all required hours and assessments in Tier One (Skin Care). Upon graduation, you become eligible to apply for a Florida Facial Specialist License. Then advance to Tier Two, our Master Aesthetician course. Certifications are awarded at the end of the program: once you finish every module and pass your final written and practical assessments, you earn the FAMA Master Aesthetician Certification. If you complete the program in person, you may also be eligible to apply for Certified Phlebotomist through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

  • State-Approved Curriculum: Every module aligns with Florida DBPR and Department of Health regulations, ensuring full compliance and easy licensure processing.

  • Real-Patient Experience: Train on live models inside FAMA’s medical clinic, performing nano-needling, advanced peels, laser protocols, and post-operative skincare under direct physician and nurse supervision. Clinical hours are logged and count toward your completion requirements.

  • Top-Tier Faculty & Technology: Learn from board-certified physicians, nurse practitioners, and seasoned aesthetic educators while operating the latest fractional lasers, nano-pens, and diagnostic imaging devices.

  • All Materials Included: Tuition covers professional kits, medical-grade products, laser disposables, study manuals, exam fees, and digital resources — no hidden costs.

  • Flexible Financing: Choose Klarna, Affirm, or FAMA’s interest-free FlexPay plan. No credit checks, and payments are scheduled to match your course timeline.

Most schools separate licensure and advanced aesthetic coursework, forcing students to enroll twice. FAMA joins both stages into one path. From basic facial protocols to medical-grade treatments, you have one enrollment, one tuition plan, and one mentoring team. You learn in our fully equipped medical clinic, practicing on real patients with guidance from board-certified physicians and nurse practitioners. Small cohorts, in-depth regulatory training, and business modules help you graduate with technical mastery. You also gain the confidence to thrive in a clinical setting.

Yes. Upon successfully completing the entire Medical Aesthetician program and graduating, you will receive your FAMA Medical Aesthetician Certification. As part of the program, you will also complete the requirements needed to become eligible to apply for a Florida Facial Specialist License. FAMA will guide you through the licensing process and ensure the required documentation is completed and submitted to the Florida Board of Cosmetology.

How Do I Become a

Medical Aesthetician?

1

Enroll and Begin Skincare Training

Submit your high school diploma (or equivalent) and sign your enrollment agreement. You begin the 280 hour Track One, covering facial techniques, infection control, Florida law, and business fundamentals. Attendance and hours are tracked from day one, as full completion of the required training is necessary to qualify for your credentials.

2

Advance to Track Two

You move directly into four weeks of on-campus clinical training, without reapplying or paying new admission fees. The training covers advanced aesthetic treatments, phlebotomy, OSHA/HIPAA compliance, and advanced consultations. Live patient practice is supervised by physicians and nurse practitioners. Every required module must be completed before moving to the final stage.

3

Complete the Program and Apply for Your License

Once you have successfully completed all required training and hours across both tracks, you become eligible to apply for your Florida Facial Specialist License. FAMA guides you through the application process, ensures your required documentation is complete, and submits the necessary paperwork to the Florida Board of Cosmetology. Upon completion of the program, you also receive your FAMA Medical Aesthetician Certification, along with applicable additional certifications for eligible students.

4

Earn your Master Aesthetician Certification

Complete your final written and practical assessments to earn the FAMA Master Aesthetician Certification plus NHA Phlebotomy and BaaB Marketing certification if on‑campus. At this point you hold both state licensure and advanced certification, ready to launch your career as a Medical Aesthetician.

MEDICAL AESTHETICIAN

Medical Aeshetician Process

How It Works?

Your journey begins with 280 hours of Track One study covering facial techniques, infection control, skin physiology, Florida law, and state licensure preparation. FAMA records your hours, administers practical exams, and submits your application to the Florida Board of Cosmetology. Once licensed, you advance directly into the Medical Aesthetician module: four intensive weeks on campus (Mondays only) or a six-month self-paced online path. You train in advanced treatments, clinical documentation, OSHA/HIPAA compliance, and phlebotomy. FAMA guides every step, ensuring all state and national documentation is complete before you sit for final certification assessments.

We’ll guide you every step of the way from registration,
exam prep, to certification.

What Will You Learn in the

Medical Aesthetician Program?

First, you acquire a solid base in facial treatments, skin histology, chemical peels, facial machines, and Florida law. Then you progress to nano-needling for serum infusion, advanced chemical peels for acne and hyperpigmentation, and dermaplaning for exfoliation. You also learn laser fundamentals for fractional resurfacing and hair reduction, PRP for regenerative therapies, and post-surgical skincare support. Throughout, you refine consultation skills, develop treatment planning acumen, and practice phlebotomy for clinical applications.

I went here for the laser hair removal program. it was a couple of months. Ms. K was my teacher. i honestly don’t understand any negative review because this school is exactly what you need if you want to become a laser technician . if you want to learn you will learn. i didnt pass the state exam right away but that was a mistake i made due to the lack of studying but once you complete and really study the board practice exams you will pass the state board exam no problem. they give you everything you need to know. it takes a lot of effort but this school gave me every single tool i needed to succeed. although it was a little bit far from home i am genuinely grateful that i was able to find this school. i 100% recommend. if you find this hard its because you are not willing to sit down and learn thank you for everything i truly mean it

I have been a licensed Esthetician & Electrologist since 2012 and after a few years out of the industry have decided to come back. Started the Medical Aesthetic course at FAMA and so far I have been extremely impressed with how they have designed the curriculum and how thorough they have been to make sure you are equipped with everything you need to grasp each concept. Highly recommend. Especially for anyone interested in furthering their knowledge into the medical aesthetic industry.
