Previously Trained or Already Licensed?
FAMA evaluates prior clock-hour training and relevant licensure to determine advanced standing and appropriate placement. Our goal is to recognize verified learning and prevent unnecessary repetition.
Overview
We review official documentation from fully licensed institutions to assess transfer-in clock hours. When approved, eligible hours are posted to the student record and the tuition account is adjusted to reflect reduced hours of training.
Eligibility Criteria
- Prior education completed at a fully licensed institution.
- Hours were earned within two years of the intended FAMA matriculation date.
- A maximum of 60% of the program's total clock hours may be transferred.
- Only clock hours are considered (academic credits do not apply).
- A written request for credit evaluation must accompany the application.
Fees
- Evaluation Exam: $150.00 per program.
- Administrative Transfer Fee: $199.00 (assessed only when clock hours are approved).
Evaluation Process
- Provide Official Transcripts: Transcripts must be sent directly from the prior institution to FAMA.

Competency Verification: An evaluation exam may be required to confirm competency alignment with FAMA curriculum.
- Applicants with a GPA below 2.0 are required to take the evaluation exam.
- A minimum score of 75% is necessary to pass.
